Colbie Marie Caillat is a singer-songwriter from the United States. She rose to prominence through the social networking site Myspace. She was the number one unsigned artist in her genre at the time. “Coco,” her debut album, was released in July 2007 after she signed with Universal Republic Records. Now one of pop music's brightest talents, she first broke through with the #1 Billboard single "Bubbly," which has been certified 6x platinum. Since then, she's had eight Top 10 singles, including "Realize," "Try," and her Grammy-winning duet "Lucky" with Jason Mraz. She has received two Grammy Awards and has amassed over 15 billion streams. Her debut album COCO debuted at #5 on the Billboard Top 200 Albums chart and has been certified three times platinum, while her platinum-selling follow-up album Breakthrough debuted at #1 on the Billboard album chart. Her live presentation is intimate and entertaining in every setting, and she has honed her storytelling skills. Colbie has just finished recording a new album in Nashville, Tennessee. Her most recent single came from her upcoming album. “Pretend” was written by herself, AJ Pruis and Liz Rose. “I wrote 'Pretend' when I was reminiscing the good parts of my last relationship and wanting to pretend we were back together so I could re-live and feel those good times we shared again,” Colbie Caillat said of the song in a statement. “Although the album is full of breakup songs, I felt it was important to share the optimism I still feel about the future and the respect I have for what I've experienced in the past.” She also shared that she enjoyed every moment of collaborating with both AJ Pruis and Liz Rose for the songs.
